Overview:

A student visa (subclass 500) will allow you to visit Australia to participate in a course of study for up to 5 years and in line with your enrolment.

Basic Eligibility:

  • Be enrolled in a course of study
  • Meet English language requirements
  • Have adequate health insurance
  • Have enough money for your stay
  • Meet character and health requirements
  • Meet age requirements

Detail:

Successful applicants under this visa can live and study within Australia usually for a period of up to 5 years.  Student visa holders are also able to work up to 40 hours every fortnight once your course starts and you may opt to include family members on your visa application.

 

Student Guardian Visa

Subclass: 590

Overview:

This temporary visa will enable you to visit to support a child that holds a student visa within Australia.

  • Be the student’s parent, custodian or relative who is 21 years or older
