The Benefits Of A Labour Hire Agreement
A Labour Agreement is a formal arrangement between an Australian employer and the Department of Home Affairs that enables the company to bring in approved skilled workers from overseas.
Labour Agreements provide a number of advantages for employers and allow access to visa sponsorships where it would not normally be available. Some examples of this might be:
- Sponsoring overseas workers for occupations that are not on the subclass 482 occupation lists
- Negotiating concessions for English language requirements, skills or wages for workers where concessions may not otherwise be available under the standard subclass 482 program.
Labour Agreements are complex and do take time to develop, however, once complete they provide employers with significant benefits including:
- Granting access to candidates with skills that are not included on the standard 457 visa list
- The ability to access the most desired candidates with less rigid conditions around age, language skills, qualification and experience.
