The Migration Process

If you are considering immigrating to Australia, it is important to understand the process and the visa categories and pathways available to you.

To be considered for visas for Australia a combination of the following is required, having an occupation on the skilled list, having a successful skills assessment in your occupation, meeting English, Health, Character, Age requirements and having the required qualifications and work experience.

 

1. SKILLS ASSESSMENT

Australia’s immigration system has been designed to seek out the best international candidates for positions where there is an existing skills shortage in the country.   All Permanent Visas require a skills assessment in your occupation.

 

2. VISA OPTIONS

The Australian immigration system is organised and there are many pathways for entry to the country. The type of visa you apply for will depend upon your situation, what you intend to be in Australia for and how long you intend to stay in the country.  An experienced Migration Agent is a great starting point to explain to you the types of visa categories available to you and your best pathway for success.

 

3. VISA PREPARATION

4. POLICE CHECKS, HEALTH CHECKS AND BIOMETRICS

The Department of Home Affairs will likely require you to undertake identification, health and character checks.  We will provide all instructions for these items once your visa is submitted.

 

5. VISA APPROVAL

Once your visa is approved, we will notify you and you will have a period of up to 12 months to arrive in Australia.

 

6. PREPARE FOR YOUR MOVE
